
Heron Athletics was born from Coach Jay’s comeback story and the inspiration of his home running club in Houston, TX. After stepping away from the sport due to a chronic condition, he set out to return using a research-driven, system-based training approach designed to work for runners of all levels and abilities. Not only did it work, but he also qualified for the Boston Marathon in his first-ever marathon. In its first large-scale implementation, he guided twelve athletes to eleven personal bests and four Boston-Qualifying times.
Rooted in faith, Heron Athletics emphasizes consistent, efficient training while maintaining balance and perspective. Our mission is to help runners unlock their potential, achieve meaningful goals, and enjoy the journey every step of the way.
